Echna's Story:
This is a horse who we were able to save from Red Orchard Animal Rescue where a mass amount of horses were starved and many died! Echna was one of 40+ animals kept by ROAR when 65+ were ordered to be relinquished and were sold to Rail Lazy H Contractor (who rounded up all of the Alpine Wild Horses out of Arizona!) Jackie Hughes, for a mere $0.38 per horse!
We were able to bring a group of 12 home to Nirvana and begin the long road back to health. This group is incredibly friendly and LOVE treats!!
Echna is an incredibly unique varnish appaloosa mare. She has the most laid back personality and chill demeanor ever! When everyone else runs, she prefers a leisurely stroll, taking her time to cover ground and stopping for bites of grass along the way.
It is very cool to see how her color changes from her winter coat to her shiny summer coat! We look forward to her getting more comfortable with people and hopefull one day enjoying scratches, as she is often seen scratching her back on the lower branches of the trees!
