Tristan broke into the reservation that neighbors the Salt River and stole four mares for himself- Kaia, Trista, Nizhoni, and Denali. When Tristan returned to the river after months and months with these mares of his own that he was so proud of, the Forest Service demanded that the mares could not stay on the Salt River since they were not part of the closely managed herd of Salt River Horses that are approved to be on the River.
Salt River Management Group, with the decision of their supporters, opted to remove Tristan along with the mares he worked so hard to gather for himself and give all five of them sanctuary for life here at Nirvana!
