Saxon's Story:
When we first met Saxon in September 2025, he was going through the Bowie Texas Horse Sale and was a likely candidate to be sold to slaughter. We watched him go through the ring and get so scared that he tried to turn around and leave, ultimately ending up getting a huge metal door slammed on his head! Thank God he was okay, and we were able to see him and pull him to safety.
When he arrived to our quarantine he was skinny, beat up, covered in ringworms, and had completely messed up tendons in his legs....
After several corrective trims, ringworm treatment, and castration- he was finally on the road to healing!
Now?
Heās a striking young man, fully healed and thriving. He has become a big brother to the daughter of Selene, another mare that we rescued with him in September 2025.
His tendons are straight and strong.
His life is completely new, thanks to YOU.
