Storm of Sand Wash Basin's Story:
This gorgeous gray older gelding had absolutely NO bids in the Sand Wash Basin Adoption back in October 2022, so we decided to step in and offer him a sanctuary home for life, in addition to one more gelding that also had no bids on the last day of the adoption event. He was listed as "unknown"- he was not recognized as one of the documented horses in the Basin, but we hope to find out more information about him if possible.
Sand Wash Basin is here in Colorado so it will be great to keep him in his home state and return him to having some freedom after being in holding since his round up over a year ago! Sand Wash Basin is the HMA that first captivated my attention before we even bought the sanctuary land- beautiful Picasso was the most famous mustang from the Herd Management Area and many people across the world admire his beauty.
