Rustler's Story:
Rustler has no idea what almost happened to him.
In June 2026, his mama Sierra was standing in the Stroud, Oklahoma kill pen — pregnant, terrified, and days away from being shipped to slaughter. Right beside her was her own mama, Mesa. We couldn't leave either of them behind, so we pulled them both out together and brought them home to our quarantine to rest, heal, and wait.
On August 23, 2026, Sierra gave birth to a healthy little colt — born safe, right here at Nirvana Mustang Sanctuary.
We named him Rustler.
Now?
He's a curious, wobbly-legged little guy who is convinced his mama is the warmest place in the world and that milk is the best thing ever invented. Three generations — Mesa, Sierra, and Rustler — are together and safe.
Once they clear quarantine, Rustler will get to grow up running free right next to his mama.
His life started safe, thanks to YOU.
