Rheia's Story:
Rheia is a mustang who was rounded up from her wild home by the Bureau of Land Management. She was then adopted, and she found herself dumped in to the slaughter pipeline along with a whopping NINE other mustangs that were at her adoptive home!
Rheia is thin, scared, and depressed. These horses had been running with a stud at their adoptive home so it is possible that she is pregnant...
Rheia and Rhiannon completed their quarantine and joined the herd in early February 2025 and WOW was it incredible to watch them run! Rheia is a very curious girl, through she is still scared of people we imagine she will likely come around and learn to enjoy human interaction before long, especially now under the influence of some of our older herd members who enjoy the cookies the humans bring!
We are so grateful to see Rheia looking beautiful, full, and healthy. We can't wait to see who she becomes friends with along with Rhiannon and how she blossoms within the herd. Of course, we can't wait to meet her little one if she is pregnant!
