terrified, fighting for his life, and trying desperately to escape the chute while handlers restrained him with ropes during processing where his blood was drawn and auction tags glued to his body.

For many people, this was the moment the reality of the slaughter pipeline truly hit.

Not numbers, not statistics, but seeing this living, feeling horse overcome with fear.

But Raja survived.

He is now safe and home forever at our sanctuary. As soon as he is healthy he will be released with one of our herds to RUN FREE again!
