Penelope was rescued from the Bowie TX Auction on May 4th, 2025. Starved and defeated, she and her baby were waiting an unknown fate. I went over to look in their pen... and her baby came right over and stuck his head through the fence and wanted some pets.
He broke me. I wondered what his future would be. How a sweet soul ended up in this tragic place.
All night I couldn't sleep- his sweet face would not leave my mind. The uncertainty of the future for such a sweet soul plagued me. Last minute the next day, an incredible donor contributed the funds to save this pair!
