Zahra's Story:
Zahra is a stunning mustang rounded up by the Bureau of Land Management! She found herself along with her two mare friends in auction where she was purchased by a kill buyer. She ended up in the McLean Texas Kill Pen with a set ship to slaughter date of November 23rd, 2024.
Zahra had been running with a stud, and is now pregnant. She and her unborn baby deserve LIFE in sanctuary where they will be wild & free & well cared for!
Zahra arrived home November 26th skinny and haggard. She is SO incredibly bonded with Zayda and we believe them to be either sisters or mom & daughter. The two are so gentle and beautiful with eachother!
Zahra is certainly the mare in charge, and while she doesn't care for human interaction yet, she is incredibly curious and we anticipate her learning to like horse cookies and scratches before long.
