Wild Heart's Story:
Wild Heart was rounded up by the BLM from Eagle Nevada in 2021. He was then adopted out from the BLM and after being titled, he was dumped in a TX kill pen in July 2024. These four boys narrowly missed being shipped to slaughter because the lot decided they would not separate any one of them- that they would all have to be homed as a group. Many people wanted Wild Heart, since he is the flashy boy in the group, but ultimately the group was passed over since no one usually wants plain colored horses, especially when they are wild & unhandled! But, the Nirvana Family stepped in and we were ale to secure these boys future.
Wild Heart arrived home on August 10th, 2024. His condition was very poor and he needed to gain several hundred pounds to be healthy again! He has had access to hay 24/7 since arriving and he has been slowly but steadily gaining weight and the life is returning to him day by day!
Wild Heart and his bonded buddies ALL came from the same HMA in the wild. They are so close, I wouldn't be surprised if they were a bachelor band of stallions together in their wild days! Lucky for them, their wild days together will resume as soon as they are able to leave quarantine!!!
