Scarlet's Story:
This beautiful sorrel mare has found herself in one of the WORST possible situations- dumped by her adopter, and was on the precipice of being sent to slaughter from. a Texas Kill Pen on January 30th 2024 but our wonderful donors all came together and made it possible for us to SAVE her!!! 🥰
Scarlet arrived home January 29th instead of shipping to Mexico along with her best friend Mocha! She is extremely underweight, and is a little stiff to move around. We want to get her healthy and get her feeling better ASAP!!!
Scarlet is certainly an older mare, and her eyes wear a weariness. We are so happy she is home forever and can now start to relax and we will now watch the wrinkles above her eyes fade away for good....
She is very brave, and loves to come up and eat her dinner out of the bucket in holding. She is a sweet sweet girl!
