Magnolia's Story:
Magnolia was one of the skinniest horses we have taken on to date.
When we first saw her at the Bowie TX Auction in January 2025, she was barely clinging onto her life. Her eyes were dull. Her ribs and hips protruded. She was completely alone- outcast by the other horses.
Now that she's healthy, BOY has her personality really emerged! This girl is a real firecracker!
It's not often that we see horses as wild as she is, even though we are a sanctuary for wild horses.
She's the type of wild that is the result of a humans attempt to tame her using force and fear. She learned that the crazier she was the more they would leave her alone. It was the only escape from the pressure.
No more sweet girl, now you'll be running free until the end of your days!!
