Lucky's Story:
Lucky is an adorable flea bitten grey BLM mare who was dumped in the McLean TX Kill pen left to ship to slaughter across the border in Mexico.
She didn't really enjoy being handled at the lot and was hesitant to lead. She really did not want to engage with people but she's a sweet girl so she complied and did what was asked.
Since being here at Nirvana, she has simply BLOSSOMED and really grown back into being her wild self! If there's one thing we love here at Nirvana, its a mare with lots of WILD energy, and Lucky is just that!
When we saved her, we had no idea that she was pregnant, but in June of 2025 she had a little filly whom we've named Clover! Lucky is a really great mom, and the bonds she has with the Lucky 10 group she came in with are incredibly strong. They are all still together to this day and the group are all very protective of the youngest member of their band!
