Josie's Story:
At the August 2026 auction, baby Josie broke all of our hearts. She was separated from her momma for processing in the chute, to get her blood drawn and get her auction stickers put on her.
She tried all she could to get back to her momma.
She ran into all the fences, with a loud pitched whinny that would break any kind soul's heart.
We vowed right there to save her and her momma. If we hadn't... momma Juna would've sold to the kill buyer. She would've been shipped with the rest of the kill buyers purchases and Josie would be left all alone, orphaned at just a few months old, forever.
That's when sickness overcomes a little foal, or they're flipped from auction to auction, or they're allowed to grow up just until they're big enough to ship to slaughter as well.
BUT YOU SAID NO!!!
We were able to step in for her just in time, and now Josie is back with her mom Juna and they both have a new guardian... lone mustang Jett! It's so sweet to watch these horses form these very special bonds. Jett has a family now... and Juna has her mom, her friends and her family AND a new protector.
The only thing better will be seeing them run free again together ❤️
