Dorothy's Story:
Dorothy is a foal of 2019. She is plain bay and still completely wild- we assume this is why she has ended up in a kill pen with no interest in bailing her out! Mustangs like her often slip through the cracks and end up shipping to slaughter, as people prefer the more flashy colored mustangs.
She is extremely scared of humans and we wonder if someone at some point tried to "train" her, which resulted in more fear and trauma towards humans than we usually see with mustangs who are blank slates or straight out of the wild.
It's incredible how quickly they can learn that humans only equal scary fearful situations!!
That's okay- she is now out with a herd of her very own with her girlfriend Josephine, Frances, and Hazel, enjoying being WILD once again. Watching them run together the evening they were released was absolutely tear-jerking!!!
