We have an incredible opportunity before us, one that could make a monumental difference in the lives of the Mustangs we strive to protect. We are thrilled to share that we have found the PERFECT property in Texas to expand our beloved Nirvana Mustang Sanctuary! 🐴💚
This property is a dream come true for us and the horses we strive to help. It boasts abundant resources, including ample space, fully fenced pastures, shelters, barns for hay storage, and natural water sources that flow year-round. Imagine the joy of seeing rescued Mustangs grazing on lush grass and drinking from or playing in beautiful ponds, their spirits rejuvenated and their hearts absolutely filled with hope!
With this new property, we will be able to save more Mustangs sooner! So far, we have helped 64 Mustangs in need, offering them sanctuary and family for LIFE 🙌🏻
But currently, at this time, there are 20 desperate souls currently trapped in kill pens, awaiting their horrible fate. The sad reality is that sanctuaries across the country are bursting at the seams, struggling to accommodate the growing number of Mustangs in need and these 20 will likely fall through the cracks and head to Mexico to a slaughter plant… But with your support, we can change that for many wild horses stuck in the slaughter pipeline, FASTER than we ever could with just our Colorado location!
By expanding Nirvana Mustang Sanctuary, we will be able to provide a safe haven for these magnificent creatures, offering them the care, love, and second chance they deserve. The resources available on this lush property will significantly reduce the cost per horse's care required for us to take in mustangs in need, allowing us to stretch our funds further and save even more lives together. The fight to preserve mustangs in the West is brutal- the BLM and Forest Service are not stopping their round ups, in fact they are only increasing in frequency and numbers! The landscape in the West is fragile and much more land is needed to maintain lots of horses and a healthy landscape. Most mustang sanctuaries operate in the West and all suffer the same downfalls of rising hay prices, lack of water, slow fencing times, and absolutely brutal winters! ALL of these downfalls can be avoided with a sanctuary location that has nature & its resources on their side- JUST like this property in Texas!!
The prospective property is already fenced, which means we can bring in horses as soon as we close on the property with NO waiting time! What a GIFT life will be to the horses we can pull out of the slaughter pipeline as soon as we make this dream sanctuary a reality.

In addition to helping mustangs in need, this location will provide the space & facilities needed to offer equine based therapy to troubled youth, sex traffic victims, domestic violence victims, and veterans. Using the horse, they will learn how to regulate their emotional and mental states, becoming more present and positive in their lives moving forward thanks to what the horse has to teach us! We are more than excited to embark on this next chapter of our journey to help not just horses, but the people who need it most simultaneously!
This property is ideal, and it will NOT be available for long! We must act fast to raise the funds needed to make this oasis a reality. We will be naming pastures, barns, and other structures after our most generous donors- plaques will be placed around the sanctuary property honoring those that make this safe haven a reality for America’s Mustangs! 💪🏻
