Atticus is yet another Bureau of Land Mustang that filed training and was dumped at auction.
When we found him in the pens at the Bowie Auction in October 2025 he was stuck in an ill fitting halter, skinny and scared as could be.
Our community saw his hurting wild soul and stepped in right there... we raised his funds and brought him home.
When he arrived home to quarantine it wuickly became apparent that he is immensely curious about humans- he's one of the mustangs that can go through more than any of us can understand and then decide that human's aren't so bad.
I swear he knows the fate we pulled him from.
Atticus is known for being a family man- he cares for his mares and entire family in such a tender manner.
He is striking, and his eyes see straight into your soul every single time. He is not afraid to look, either.
We are so proud of how far he has come from the time we set eyes on him at the auction scared and flighty to how gloriously he carries himself now! He's truly the iconic picture of the American Mustang- all heart and boldness- and anyone should be honored to be this boy's person!
