UPDATES:

5/27: We will be at the auction on 6/5 to save wild horses from slaughter at the kill pen and auction!

6/5: We've arrived and there are 25 reservation mustangs here so far. They are in absolutely DEPLORABLE conditions- long hooves, leg injuries, strangles, and ribs & hips protruding with starvation.

6/6 9am: Over 100 horses came in over the night, including 80 recip mares who have carried embryo's for people their entire lives and made hundreds of thousands of dollars for the people who dumped them here to be sold for slaughter. What a disgrace!

6/6 12pm: We've met many horses we have added to our list to save, and slowly we are working our way towards having the funds to be able to actually save them and offer them sanctuary for life. This is no small feat, and we thank you for being a part of our mission!!!

6/8: Lots of talk over a border shutdown is happening, and official sites say that the border is closed to exports- HOWEVER shipping activities are still going on, and the border is excepted to be open with certain parameters as early as WEDNESDAY. We will continue fundraising with a Wednesday deadline!!

6/9: An email response from the USDA confirms that horses are able to ship directly to the slaughter plant provided that proper paperwork is filed. TOMORROW 6/10 is our official deadline to save the horses on our list!!

6/10: TODAY IS THE DAY. The trucks come today. The last one comes this evening and we have until then to save this family of 14!! We HAVE to keep them together and keep them safe. We have the funds to save only ONE of them so far... we can't possibly make that choice 💔 so let's RALLY and save them all!!

6/10: THE TRUCKS WERE STOPPED TODAY- the slaughterhouse decided NOT to take any more loads this week and not to take any loads AT ALL for the time being until the screwworm situation is under control!!! This means we have more time to save the remaining 3 members of the family of 14 we've been working to save, and that we don't have to leave any of them behind. We are determined to get the whole family out INTACT!! In a video posted by the kill buyer today, a whole pen of reservation mustangs were shown as well as a two BLM mustangs. Now that we don't know when their deadline is to ship to Mexico to slaughter due to the border being closed, we are going to continue our June rescue mission to save as many lives as we can this month! First we will focus on the remaining 3 family members. Then we will focus on the two Bureau of Land Management Mustangs. Then we will focus on any Reservation Mustangs we can help. LET'S DO THIS!! 6/16: WOO! 32 horses are safe SO FAR during our June rescue mission between the Bowie Auction and our kill pen rescues up until this point!! Patch & Bramble are SAFE. Since the border is still closed for an unknown duration and there are nearly 100 mustangs STUCK in the slaughter pipeline, we have committed to helping as many wild horses as we can OUT and to sanctuary. This fundraiser has now pivoted to the next 15 horses we need to get safe, including several cowboy cut geldings, mare foal pairs, family members, and terrified orphan babies. We are working on a total of 15 in this group, we KNOW we can do this.. we can't stop fighting for their lives. They will get sick and die or starve and die in these kill pens. We can't allow it.
