Heather's Story:
Heather was born WILD in 2020. She was titled July 23rd, 2024! That means she and the other two mares she was dumped into the slaughter pipeline with are definitely victims of the Adoption Incentive Program where the BLM gives the adopter $1,000 after the horse is titled and no longer under federal protection. Once landing at the McLean TX kill pen, she was given a ship date of September 10th, 2024 where her filly Aspen would be pulled off of her and she will be used for her meat.
BUT the Nirvana Family stepped in and now she and Aspen will receive sanctuary for life!
Heather is a quiet mare who is very curious about people. She is the BEST mom, always making sure little Aspen stays close by.
