Cricket's Story:
Cricket is Bear's last original family member that was rounded up from the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest by contractor Rail Lazy H. Cricket was auctioned off in the Cleburne TX auction on August 14th, 2024! She arrived home, along with 7 other Alpines we were able to save from that notoriously kill buyer frequented auction, on August 17th, 2024.
The whole group was extremely skinny upon arrival! Since she got here, Cricket has been eating away 24/7 on quality hay. Soon, her condition will be much better!!! We look forward to seeing her filled out, shiny, and happy.
Then, the day will come where we can reunite her with Bear and her fellow band mares Swan and Fox! We look forward to sharing this extremely special reunion. We are so thankful to have been able to give Bear so much of his family back! Every single reunion is so special as these mares go straight to him as he runs to greet them and happy whinnies are exchanged back and forth. They stay together always, proving the lasting beauty of these important familial bonds.
