Cat the Alpine Mare's Story:
This Alpine Wild Horse was rounded up from her home in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest and was sent through the Cleburne auction in Texas NOTORIOUS for kill buyers being present and purchasing wild horses for slaughter!!
Cat is one of the most wild Alpines we have. She is a lead mare and takes NO crap!! She has zero interest in people and prefers to keep her far, far distance from them. Who can blame her after all she has been through!! We will see how her demeanor towards people changes with time in Nirvana's care...
Cat is a member of Bear's original band, and we are incredibly stoked to be able to reunite the two of them!! Soon, she and her little one will leave quarantine and be able to enjoy life in FREEDOM with Bear and the rest of their family.
