Cielo's Story:
Cielo was born at Nirvana Mustang Sanctuary on May 20th, 2024 to Luna, a beautiful Reservation Mustang Mare who was saved from the Fabrizius Colorado kill pen in March of 2024. We had no idea she was pregnant, but as time went on and she gained weight but and her belly never stopped growing, we suspected a new life held inside! Turns out it was the best kind of rescue, a two for one save!!
Little Cielo is just a spitting image of her momma, cremello, blue eyes, and spirited all the same. We cannot wait to watch her grow up and experience a free life with a herd all her own.
Cielo joined the herd with her mom Luna and auntie Celeste on July 15, 2024! From the moment they were released, Billy Jack and his mare Cheyenne have taken them under their wing, and they have formed their own little band.
It is absolutely adorable to watch Cielo interact with Billy Jack. He is so big and yet so gentle with Cielo! He is always watching over her.
Cielo has been enjoying playing with all of the other 2024 babies also from rescued mares that are around her age- Charisma, Sonata, Tawny, and Copper.
