Charger's Band was pulled from an auction in the fall of 2022 where a coalition of rescues, several wild horse advocates, and wild horse photographer who had spent much time with the band in the wild, Kathie Reidhead, all joined together to save the entire band of ten horses from the kill buyer that was bidding on every single Alpine Wild Horse in the obscure online auction orchestrated by the contractor Rail Lazy H with the intentions of offering them a safe home all together as a family forever at Nirvana!
